Cogito, Ergo, Wikipedia
I just joined the famous web encyclopedia -- therefore I am -- this certainly is a momentous day -- until now I’ve existed only in the minds of a handful of people who’ve met me -- co-workers -- relatives -- neighbors -- at times during my career there were newspaper articles written about me -- glowing fluff pieces about a Jersey boy rising from the bottom of the barrel to impressive heights on Madison Avenue and in Hollywood -- a day later these historical articles were relegated to trash cans save for those pasted into my mother’s scrapbook -- it was my son Crispin who wrote the inaugural Wikipedia entry -- I couldn’t have been in more reliable hands since Crispin has evolved into one of the great, new cyber-journalists -- the facts were culled from various bios, interviews, and the About section of the website I recently launched -- Gary Kott’s Creative Warehouse -- I stand here a humble man -- a grateful man -- a man whose very existence is now etched into eternity -- subject to change, of course, from anyone in the land of Wikipedia with free time and an existential delete key.
